Nothing for now [in development]

Time plan

Here you will find my general schedule for the project. I am running a more detailed daily schedule in Google Calendar. I am still in the process of integrating or linking the data into this website.

During this project, I will try to adopt a mixture of Sketching in hardware, "prototype early, prototype often" and Getting Real approaches and methods. A lot of new and fancy terms that basically mean that I will try to have small weekly deadlines with specific goals instead of long and intangible objectives. The idea is to be concrete, get up to speed fast and try to avoid procrastination during all the phases of the project. My weekly deadline is on Thursdays, the same day that I have study group sessions with some classmates.

So far I will try to break down my weekly goals in four sub-goals:

  • design activity: get in touch and work with the people or users.
  • hardware challenge: build a prototype or refine one.
  • software challenge: learn or develop something new in code.
  • documentation: research, document and/or write something.

Most activities will be run in parallel, from day one (almost). Ultimately, I have to merge this with the classic design project timeline: research, mid-presentation, development and such. It will be interesting to see how these approaches can be merged together and if the weekly goals are conflicting too much with large milestone events.
